A warm, friendly conversation exploring learning, connection and what helps a neighbourhood become stronger and more welcoming

UNITY IN DIVERSITY: How do we maintain togetherness despite differences?

A friendly space to explore inspiring concepts on universal values

Wednesday, 4 November | 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Weybridge Library (Upstairs)

Turn on the news or scroll through social media on any given day, and it's easy to wonder: How do we maintain togetherness and bridge divides when people see the world so differently?

Join us this Wednesday evening for a warm, informal conversation exploring perspectives on Unity from diverse global traditions—including wisdom from the Psalms, Rig Veda, Qur’an, and the Bahá’í Writings.

As one of our guiding reflections notes:

“The gardener does not make the flowers the same colour; the beauty of the garden is that they are not.”

Together, we’ll explore:

What builds genuine unity between very different people, and what quietly undoes it?

What does "unity without uniformity" actually look like in practice—in a family, a workplace, or our town?

What to expect:

A welcoming, relaxed atmosphere with free tea and coffee.

Short, inspiring readings to spark discussion.

No pressure, no lectures—come share your thoughts or simply sit back and listen.

Everyone is welcome, whatever your background, beliefs, or life experience. Come as you are!
