The Woolley Firs Environmental Education Centre will host an evening talk about swifts on 24 September. The talk will be held at 6pm and attendees will be able to learn about the decline of swifts and what they can do to help.
Join us for an evening talk to learn about swifts, why they are in decline, and what you can do to help.
Swifts; come along and discover all you need to know about these endangered aviators of the sky, the reasons for their dramatic decline, and how you can help them in your own home and community.
Swifts were included in the BTO red list of species at risk of extinction in 2021, but not all is lost!
There will be time for a Q&A session at the end, and a short walk along our grounds at Woolley Firs where you will be able to see our own swift boxes and find out how we managed to attract swifts to our office building.
Please note that this event is for ages 18+.
