This two-day programme is designed for Community pharmacists pharmacist independent prescribers, primary care pharmacists,Nurse practioners and ACP'S who want to strengthen their confidence in assessing and managing common minor illnesses in primary care.The course develops structured consultation skills, clinical reasoning, safe prescribing, and red flag recognition, with a strong focus on real-world primary care practice.Teaching is delivered through a mix of interactive lectures supporting immediate application in practice, across two days, you will develop competence in assessing and managing common presentations including:

Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

History taking and clinical assesment

Common cold and viral URTIS

differentiating viral from bacterial infections

Recognition of red flag symptoms requiring urgent refferral

Antibiotic prescribing and antimicrobial stewardship

ENT Conditions

Otitis externa and otitis media

Ear wax and ear pain

sore throat and tonsillitis

acute sinusitis and rhinosinusitis

ENT red flags and referral criteria

Skin Conditions

Eczema, dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, rosacea

Fungal infections and scabies, Shingles

Insect bites and allergic reactions

Abdominal Complaints

Gastroenteritis, constipation, reflux

Abdominal pain assessment

Red flag symptoms

Neurological Presentations

Headache (tension, migraine, red flags)
