British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreted Tour

About This Event

Led by an expert guide and accompanied by a BSL interpreter, these small group tours offer a fascinating insight into the history of Treasurer's House. Tucked behind York Minster, Treasurer’s House is not as it first appears. In 1897 it was bought by Frank Green, the grandson of a wealthy industrialist, and by 1900 he had transformed it at great speed into an elaborately decorated town house, ready for the visit of Edward VII. This tour offers access to the house and its collection with simultaneous BSL interpretation. The tour will last approximately 1 hour, and we welcome those both Deaf and hearing to join. Tuesday 14 July, Tuesday 11 August, Tuesday 8 September 3pm - 4pm Free, booking required. (Max 10 people per tour) Please note: Stepped access to most rooms and toilet. Ground-floor three visible showrooms and reception only. Level access to garden path available.
