About This Event

Deadtime Stories for Families will run on selected dates at the Treasurer's House in York. Led by an actor portraying King Edward, the session takes place in the Great Hall as darkness falls.

As darkness falls, gather in the Great Hall for a storytelling session inspired by the house's fascinating past.

Led by an actor portraying King Edward VII, a former visitor to the house, families will be immersed in atmospheric tales drawn from real local history.

Blending heritage, humour and gentle audience participation, Deadtime Stories offers a delightfully spooky, not scary, experience for children aged 6 to 12 and their grown-ups.

Every child’s ticket includes a hot chocolate, perfect for enjoying after the experience. The tearoom will also have a selection of sweet treats and hot drinks for adults to purchase and enjoy.

Please note each child/group must have at least one accompanying adult.
