Celebrate the Indian Festival of Lights with us

Last year’s Diwali evening at RISE was one of our most memorable nights. This November, we’re returning with a new menu, Diwali decorations and an evening made for celebrating together.

Diwali is the Festival of Lights — a time to welcome light, share food and gather with the people around us. We’ll dress RISE for the occasion and bring some of the flavours and traditions Sanket remembers from celebrating at home in India to the tables at Bluebird Bakery.

The evening begins with Diwali farsan: two homemade festive snacks we’re keeping as a surprise. Then comes a duo of starters — Kadhi Vada, a golden spiced potato fritter served in warm Maharashtrian yoghurt kadhi, and homemade onion bhajis with mint yoghurt and pink onions.

For the main course, you’ll have a choice of Chicken Kolhapuri or Vegetable Kolhapuri. Inspired by the bold cooking of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, our curry brings together chilli and warming spices with a medium heat. It’s served with LFK naan, rice and our Bombay potato salad.

To finish, there’s a duo of traditional sweets: homemade kheer and puran poli with ghee, followed by LFK’s signature masala chai with rusk. And, because it’s Diwali, we have one final surprise planned for the evening. ✨

This is a shared-table dining evening. Drinks will be available to purchase from Bluebird’s in-house bar. Please select your Chicken or Vegetable Kolhapuri when booking, and let us know if you’d like to sit with guests who have booked separately.
