Kara Hesse is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter whose music blends Americana, soul, blues and rock ’n’ roll with deeply personal storytelling. Born in Wichita and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Hesse has built a career around a distinctive, soulful voice and songs shaped by life on the road, change, resilience and self-discovery. Her career has included performances alongside artists such as B.B. King, Al Green, Buddy Guy and the Steve Miller Band, while her music has also appeared in television series including Scorpion and You Me Her.

Following earlier releases Better By Morning and Sojourner, Hesse returned in 2026 with the full-length album Devil & the Dove. The record explores the tension between endings and beginnings, grief and hope, and the process of finding clarity through change. With a sound grounded in classic influences but delivered with a contemporary edge, Hesse continues to carve out a space defined by powerful vocals, honest songwriting and an unmistakably lived-in sense of soul.
