Join us to celebrate a month of change at Rawcliffe Country Park!

Over September and October, York Cares volunteers are delivering a month of non-stop volunteering at Rawcliffe, transforming its green spaces for the better.

On October 16th, we're inviting you to join us as we discover a new, improved Rawcliffe Country Park!

Bring along your family and friends for a day of fun activities and exploration, at one of York's hidden gems.

There will be food, music and a chance to explore the park, plus activities including:

Forest school activities for children, delivered by facilitator Christine Banham

A chance to experience the new nature trail of Rawcliffe

A new 'soundwalk' experience

Performances from local school pupils

Crafts and activities from environment and sustainability groups around York

We’ll also be joined by the Lord Mayor, who will be in attendance to inaugurate the new park at its newly rejuvenated pond space.

We're excited to welcome you to our party in the park, celebrating the impact volunteers have had on our local green space, and the people who use it.

Rawcliffe Country Park is easily accessible by the No2 P&R bus route from York City Centre and is on Route 65 of the National Cycle Network. Parking is free at the adjacent Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride
