Whether you are a seasoned performer looking to test out some new premises or you have never stepped foot on a stage before, our workshops are designed to be a low-pressure space to explore the craft of standup. We spend our time together sharing material, offering gentle feedback, and figuring out what makes a joke land. It is less about being perfect and more about the process of finding your own voice and perspective. The sessions are built for anyone in the York area who has an interest in comedy and wants to connect with a supportive group of local writers and performers. We keep the atmosphere collaborative rather than competitive, making it a great spot to meet people who share your sense of humor. If you are curious about getting started or just want to spend an evening workshopping some ideas, we would love to have you join us. Please RSVP if you can make it so we can keep track of numbers for the room.
