About This Event

From the barren deserts of Dune to the roaring Colosseum of Gladiator, from the far reaches of space in Interstellar to the golden savannahs of The Lion King, Hans Zimmer's music has created some of cinema's most unforgettable moments. Now experience it live. The European Symphonic Orchestra & Choir celebrates the music of the two-time Academy Award-winning composer, bringing iconic scores from Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight and more to the concert stage, alongside other favourites from the world of film. Combining the grandeur of a full symphony orchestra with the driving energy of electric guitars, bass, keyboards and drums, the performance captures the extraordinary range of Zimmer's music. A powerful choir and solo vocalists add further depth, from the most intimate and moving melodies to the thunderous power of his greatest themes. With spectacular lighting, appearances from familiar film characters and a special guest from the films, this is a celebration of the music, emotion and sheer spectacle of cinema. The music that filled the cinema now fills the concert hall. And this time, it takes centre stage. Tickets: https://www.aberdeenperformingarts.com/whats-on/music-of-hans-zimmer-others/
