The GSA Biosphere Partnership and Glasgow School of Art have been working with the community in Ochiltree and volcanologist Dr Dave McGarvie, to explore the geology and history of the Boswell Estate.
Members of the public are invited to join us at this special evening event and enjoy presentations from our academic partners and local historian William Cooper, and to experience the work of Masters students from the Glasgow School of Art which is being showcased at Ochiltree Community Hub. The students have designed engagement, interpretation and educational tools, concepts to widen understanding of deep time and ancient history, and support adventure and discovery for local people and visitors alike.
This is a 2-hour indoor event. Please arrive in good time to take your seat before the event begins at 6pm. For accessibility information please visit the venue's own website: Ochiltree Community Hub: Multipurpose Community Facility There is a car park at the back of the hub; free on-street parking is also available in the locality, please be considerate of residents and property access.
Tickets are free but we have a Donation Ticket option on the booking page, and we are grateful for any and all contributions. These help our charity sustain its work across SW Scotland's UNESCO Biosphere.
