Greig Burgoyne is a Glasgow‑born artist whose practice uses drawing as an expanded, site‑responsive investigation into space, perception and the limits of the body. Working across performance, installation, film, sound and text, he employs rule‑based, endurance‑driven processes to test the anomalies of a given site and reveal what is usually invisible. His immersive works often appear precarious or absurd, yet open new dialogues about flux, vulnerability and how we experience space.

Context: Almosting is an exploration in presence how is one present beyond being simply see? but instead heard?

The workshop is a prepartaion workshop for the group performance in the Waterworks park, Antrim Road on Sunday 20th Septermber 11.30am -1.30ish.

Participants will have the almosting concept explain to them by the artist and work individualy or in groups. Developing a stuffed fabric 'almost' shape which will be almost something but never nothing.

Both absurd and playful , through play, curiosity and risk, the workshops and public facng event will invite togetherness through diversity as opposed to unity through imposed ideas of sameness.

Burgoyne is head of Fine art at Univeristy of Creative Arts, Canterbury and partner in NIOffiice Connect programme of developing an NI-GB performance art network with Bbeyond, Belfast International Festival of performance Art(BIFPA) ,Tactile Bosch, Wales with Performance Platform London.
