The Mindful Making: Unwind workshop will take place at the Golden Thread Gallery in Belfast on 16th September 2026. Participants can engage in textile-inspired art activities designed to promote relaxation and enhance mental wellbeing. As the evenings grow shorter, this session aims to provide a calming space for creativity and mindfulness. The workshop is offered free of charge.
Slow down and unwind in the Hub as the nights draw in with our textile-inspired Mindful Making sessions.
Engaging in art activities has been proven to benefit mental health and help with anxiety and depression, improve focus, and promote relaxation. Try weaving, stitching, and making gifts by hand in the Golden Thread Gallery Hub with our Engagement Assistant this autumn.
Sessions:
Wednesday 16 September: circle loom bracelet making
Wednesday 23 September: cardboard loom weaving
Wednesday 30 September: pom-pom making
All materials are provided for our Mindful Making sessions, as well as tea, coffee & biscuits.
Accessibility
Workshops take place in our Hub on the ground floor of the gallery, with step-free ramp access. There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom on the ground floor.
