About This Event

Report Launch: In the Midst of Trauma is a forthcoming community event scheduled for Belfast City Hall on 8 October 2026 at 09:30. Organised by Corrymeela in partnership with TASC.ie, the launch will explore new findings regarding how trauma influences community work and reconciliation efforts. The gathering brings together various speakers to discuss insights developed over the past twelve months of research. Attendance is free for those interested in these latest developments.

We're launching new findings on trauma, community and reconciliation.⁠

Corrymeela, in partnership with TASC.ie, has been exploring for over the past 12 months how trauma shapes the work of community and voluntary practitioners across Ireland, north and south.

On 8 October, we're bringing those findings to Belfast City Hall — alongside contributors from across the community and voluntary sector, government, policy and funding.

Joining us: author, researcher and practitioner Dr Lisa Cherry OBE, whose work explores trauma, adversity and what it takes to build more compassionate, trauma-informed systems.
