About This Event

This forthcoming gathering at Ithaka offers a slower Sunday experience in Birmingham, hosted by performers from the Coffee & Decks project. Visitors can enjoy carefully selected sounds alongside coffee from Ithaka and custard treats from the Custard Factor within a space designed for listening and connection. Taking place on 27 September between noon and 5pm, the event allows guests to arrive as they are and stay for the duration of the afternoon sessions.

A slower kind of Sunday. Coffee and carefully selected sounds, with space to listen, connect and stay a while.

Come as you are. Stay a while.

Sunday 27 September | 12–5pm

Ithaka Coffee, Custard Factory, Digbeth, Birmingham

Coffee & Decks is an artist-led Sunday gathering bringing together music, coffee, cocktails, conversation and creativity for a slower way to spend your Sunday.

Taking over Ithaka Coffee in Birmingham’s Custard Factory, our first gathering invites you to settle in for an afternoon soundtracked by two carefully selected DJs, moving through soulful sounds, deep grooves, African rhythms and uplifting beats.

On the decks:

Vanessa Malado

African rhythms, percussion and soulful sounds. A vibrant, uplifting musical journey.

Dee’Cleo

Deeply nourishing rhythms to unwind. Galvanising beats to uplift.

Grab a coffee, find a spot, catch up with friends, discover something new or simply listen. There’s no pressure to experience the afternoon in any particular way – come for an hour or make yourself comfortable and stay.

Coffee & Decks is less about filling your Sunday with more things to do, and more about creating the space to enjoy where you already are.

Music. Coffee. Conversation.
