Decoded Series: Is Your Workplace Toxic?

Something at work does not feel right, and you cannot tell whether it is a tough job or a toxic one. Or you lead a team and want to be sure it never becomes the place people warn their friends about.

"Toxic" gets used for everything from a bad week to serious bullying, which makes it hard to know where the line is. It is even harder to judge from the inside, when you are the one living it.

Decoded Live is a two hour in-person session in Birmingham that gives you a clear definition and the chance to use it. You will work through real workplace scenarios with another person and decide together what counts as toxic and what does not. You will also practise the words for raising a problem, whether you lead the team or not. An outside view is often what makes a situation clear, and that is something a video cannot give you.

I'm Piroska, founder of Organised Minds. I hold an MSc in Organisational and Business Psychology, my research examined organisational silence and what stops people speaking up at work, and I have seen these workplaces in over seven differrent industries.

The evening ends with time to meet the other people in the room, under one rule: no selling.
