With Anne Haigh, an in-person morning workshop at Hobbycraft in Birmingham (Selly Oak) from 10.30-12.30.

This two-hour sharing session will provide a unique opportunity to see up-close a curated selection of beautiful items from the Embroiderers’ Guild Collection.

During the session led by Anne Haigh, one of our Collection Trustees, participants will learn more about the techniques and history of a range of fascinating pieces. Be prepared for some wonderful embroidery and textile art eye candy.

To note:

This event is for those aged 16 and over.

No food or drinks will be permitted in the craft room during the event.

Cancellation and refunds given up to 7 days before the event takes place. No refunds will be given for cancellations under 7 days

White gloves will be provided to all those attending and must be worn if participants wish to touch or handle the items.

The selection of Collection items for this session is different from the selection for sessions at Harlow and Watford locations.

Your Tutor

Anne Haigh is a trustee of the Embroiderers’ Guild. She has been fascinated with all things stitch since childhood and has a City and Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Embroidery. For the past three years Anne has been managing a large project to photograph the Guild Collection and upload the images with details to ArtUK.

Her knowledge of the Guild Collection is extensive; she has personally seen and handled 4,500 collection items which have been photographed to date and will provide fascinating insights into the items shared in the session.
