Join Show Up Sis as we take on Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District! ⛰️🥾

On Sunday 8 November, we’ll be travelling from Birmingham to the beautiful village of Edale in Derbyshire for our next women-only hiking adventure.

Standing at 636 metres, Kinder Scout is the highest point in the Peak District. Expect dramatic scenery, rugged moorland, rocky paths and incredible views across the Dark Peak.

Whether you’re coming alone or with someone you know, our team will be there to welcome you and help you connect with other women throughout the day. Most women attend our events alone, so please don’t let that stop you from joining us 💗

Return coach travel from Birmingham is included in your ticket.

🚌 Coach departs promptly at 7:45am

The coach cannot wait for late arrivals, so please allow plenty of time for traffic, parking and finding the meeting point.

The journey will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

⛰️ THE HIKE

We’ll be hiking Kinder Scout, a spectacular moorland plateau and the highest point in the Peak District.

This will be a challenging hike involving sustained uphill sections, rocky and uneven paths, open moorland and potentially wet, muddy or boggy terrain.

Please be aware:

• There will be steep uphill and downhill sections

• The terrain may be rocky, uneven, muddy and slippery

• Parts of the route will be exposed to wind and changing weather

• November conditions may be cold, wet and demanding

• The route may be changed or shortened if conditions become unsafe

• The final route, distance and estimated hiking time will be confirmed before the event.

🥾 APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED

You must wear:

✔️ Waterproof hiking boots with good ankle support and strong grip

Fashion trainers, Converse, sliders, sandals or footwear without suitable grip are not appropriate for this hike.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

You will need:

✔️ A backpack

✔️ A minimum of two litres of water

✔️ Lunch and plenty of snacks

✔️ A waterproof jacket

✔️ Warm layers

✔️ Waterproof hiking boots

✔️ A hat and gloves

✔️ Spare socks

✔️ Any medication you may need

✔️ Blister plasters

✔️ A power bank

Waterproof trousers are also strongly recommended.

Please come prepared for cold, rain and strong winds, regardless of the forecast. Conditions can change quickly on Kinder Scout.

🚌 RETURN JOURNEY

The coach will depart from Edale at 4pm.

Our estimated arrival back at Digbeth Coach Station is approximately 6:30pm, depending on traffic.

Return times are approximate, so please avoid arranging onward travel too close to our expected arrival time.

Please don’t worry! Most women attending will be coming alone.

Show Up Sis is all about helping women try new experiences, build confidence and make genuine connections. Our team will be there to welcome you, introduce you to others and support you throughout the day.

I understand that participating in a hike or outdoor activity involves inherent risks, including uneven terrain, weather conditions, and physical exertion. I voluntarily accept these risks.

I confirm that I am physically able to take part and will take full responsibility for my own health, pace, and wellbeing during the event.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Show Up Sis, its organisers, and event partners from liability for any injury, loss, or damage suffered during the event.

📸 Photography & Content

Photos and videos may be taken during the event for marketing purposes. If I do not wish to appear, I will inform the organiser on the day.
