Coffee, conversation, connection and a gentle walk in nature. Looking to get out of the house, meet new people and enjoy a bit of fresh air? Whether you’re a local business owner looking to connect, a mum wanting to meet other mums or simply someone who’d like a bit more community in their life, come and join us. Who’s it for? Local business owners looking to meet and connect with other local people Mums wanting to meet other mums and get out for a morning together (suitable for prams) Anyone looking to meet new people and make new connections Anyone who enjoys getting out in nature and walking with others at their own pace Children under 16 are welcome to come along for free. Their drinks and any additional purchases at the café are not included in the ticket price. The morning 10am – Meet for coffee We’ll meet at a local coffee shop in Hesketh Bank at 10am. While everyone arrives, we’ll take your coffee order and get you settled with a drink. Around 10.30am – River walk We’ll head down to the river for a group walk. There’s no pressure to walk at a particular pace. Walk, chat and enjoy the surroundings at whatever pace feels comfortable for you. 12pm – Back to the café We’ll return to the coffee shop at around 12pm. You’re welcome to head home or stay for more conversation and connection. What’s included? ☕ One regular coffee, tea or herbal tea 🚶 A group walk along the river 🤝 The opportunity to meet and connect with other local people Larger or speciality drinks, other beverages, snacks and any additional purchases are not included in the ticket price. What if it rains? The walk will still go ahead in light rain, so bring a coat and embrace the British weather! If the weather is particularly wet or windy, we’ll stay in the coffee shop instead and use the time to chat, connect and get to know each other. Parking Free parking is available on the surrounding streets. A few things to know This is a relaxed, informal community event. There’s no formal networking agenda and no expectation to talk to everyone. Come as you are, meet some new people and enjoy a morning out. Safety & Responsibility This is an informal community walk and everyone is responsible for their own safety and wellbeing throughout the event. If you bring children, you are responsible for supervising them at all times, including when crossing roads and during the walk. The route includes roads and crossings as we make our way to the river. Although much of the route is on a path, some sections may be uneven, so please wear suitable footwear and take care according to your own ability and circumstances. Please keep children close and supervise them around roads, the river and any uneven sections of the route. By booking your place, you acknowledge that you are responsible for yourself and any children you bring and participate in the walk at your own discretion.
