Blackpool Central Library is hosting a journaling workshop for reflection and connection on 10 October 2026. Lisa Wigham will lead the session, which involves discussing themes of love, loss and personal feelings.
Come hang out and explore your feelings through journaling about love, loss, and everything in between.
Join artist Lisa Wigham for a relaxed, hands-on workshop exploring how a handmade journal can become a space for reflection, creativity and remembering.
Lisa will guide you through the journal she has created especially for Good Grief Blackpool, sharing ideas and gentle prompts to help you explore your own thoughts, feelings, memories and experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to make the journal your own, adding your own marks, words, images, textures and ideas while learning some simple book-art techniques from Lisa.
There’s no right or wrong way to use the journal. You can write, draw, doodle, collect, reflect or simply play with the pages.
No artistic experience is needed. Come along, make something with your hands, take some time for yourself and discover how your journal might become a place to hold thoughts, memories and whatever you want to carry forward.
All materials and aprons will be provided but please wear suitable clothing for using inks and glue. The workshop is open for adults only, but beginners are welcome. If you would benefit from support using tools such as scissors, you are welcome to bring someone else along with you – please just drop us a line to let us know.
