First Aid at Work (Blended)

This First Aid at Work course is for those appointed as a workplace first aider.

Designed for medium to high-risk environments, it gives you the skills, confidence and judgement to respond effectively in real emergencies.

The blended format combines flexible online learning with a practical training session, reducing time away from the workplace while ensuring hands-on competence.

Who should attend?

During this course, you will learn how to assess situations quickly, make confident decisions, and deliver effective first aid in both minor incidents and life-threatening emergencies.

Ideal for:

Higher-risk workplaces (e.g. construction, manufacturing)

Organisations with larger teams or specific risks

Anyone responsible for workplace first aid

Anyone over the age of 16 who may need first aid skills.

Course Outline

Delivered by experienced trainers using realistic, practical scenarios, so your team doesn’t just learn first aid, they’re ready to use it.

Topics include:

Assessing an incident and managing an emergency

CPR and use of an AED

Unresponsive casualty

Choking

Bleeding and shock

Burns, fractures and head injuries

Plus much more.

Course Duration

1 Day practical training, the remaining modules to be completed online (18 hours in total)

Assessment & certification

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment; there is no final exam. Once you have completed and met the requirements, you will be issued a certificate that is valid for three years. Under the current guidelines, it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellation charges are based on the notice given before the course date:

1–14 days: 100% of the course fee

15–21 days: 50% of the course fee

22–28 days: 25% of the course fee

More than 28 days: No cancellation charge
