Poetry, local history & film event with Oliver Lomax at Little Lever Library

Join us for an evening with Oliver Lomax, local poet, and Los Angeles International Poetry Film Prize winner. Enjoy poetry and film commemorating Little Lever's local history, including the Ladyshaw Owl Pit disaster 'The Men who became the River' and 'Breach' - the 1932 local canal breach.

Oliver has published 5 collections of poetry, has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize and The Forward Prize for spoken word performances and has recently finished recording 'Low Sun- Small Englands' - a classical/ spoken word album with members of the The Halle, Liverpool Philharmonic & Manchester Camerata orchestras.

To complement this event, a selection of associated items from our musuem local history collections will also be available to view.
