Join us on this free family friendly walk from Wellholme Park to Clifton Beck, with fantastic views over Brighouse and a playground to end!

Are you looking for new and exciting walking routes that are also child-friendly?

Then why not join our Walk Leaders as they guide you on this 3.4km walk (2.13 miles) around Clifton Beck.

With sections of the Brighouse Boundary Walk and the Calderdale Way, this walk covers varied ground, but within a fairly short distance. It is slightly challenging in parts, with a couple of hills to overcome, but worth it for the views at the top!

Along the way, there'll be a Nature Scavenger Hunt to enjoy, and older children will have the chance to practise simple navigation skills. It also starts and finishes at Wellholme Park, so a pit stop at the playground there is a must too.

This is a free guided event, starting at the Wellholme Park Family Hub. It is suitable for children of walking age (not suitable for pushchairs), ideally age six or over.

Meeting Point: Wellholme Park Family Hub, Bradford Road, Brighouse HD6 4AF

Meeting Time: Please arrive at 10.30am where there will be a chance for refreshments at the Hub before setting off on the walk. The walk should last take around 2 hours but you can factor an extra half hour in for playtime at the end! Please bring your own lunch and water for the walk.

Please Note: We're asking for a small £1 deposit to reserve your place on the walk. Don't worry, you'll get this back when you attend. The deposit helps reduce no-shows and ensures places aren't left unused.

Getting There:

The walk will start at Wellholme Park Family Hub – about a five minute walk from Brighouse town centre.

Wellholme Park is located on the A641 Bradford Road. It is on several bus routes, for details, visit: West Yorkshire Metro.

From Brighouse town centre bus station, it is about a five minute walk.

From the train station, it is about a 10 minute walk.
