Free open workshops will be held at CecilGreenArts on October 17, 2026, inviting participants to create 'Festivals of the Dead' themed willow lanterns. These items are intended for future use in a Lister Park lantern parade and Northcliffe Park memorial event.
Join us to make 'Festivals of the Dead' themed willow lanterns for Lister Park lantern parade and Northcliffe Park memorial lantern event.
A drop-in workshop to make a simple willow lantern for Festivals of the Dead events in Lister Park on Fri 30th October and Northcliffe Park on Sat 14th November. You need a minimum of 2 and a half hours to complete a lantern. All materials will be provided and artists will be available to support you.
Monday 26th October will also include an accessible lantern making workshop with a disability theme as part of the Sendiverse Festival.
Parking is available on street around the venue.
The building has step-free access and has a disabled toilet.
Donations towards materials are welcome but not necessary.
Festivals of the Dead is a joint project between Cecil Green Arts, the University of Bradford and Bradford Death Cafes and is funded by Arts Council England.
Cecil Green Arts is supported by Bradford Council.
