What we’ll cover:

Standard facial proportions — learn the basic measurements and relationships between the features of the face.

Placing the features — understand where the eyes, nose, mouth, ears and other features sit in relation to one another.

Measuring and construction — use simple techniques to check proportions and build a portrait accurately.

From face to figure — discover how the proportions of the head relate to the wider body and how artists use the head as a unit of measurement.

Understanding the whole figure — explore basic relationships between the head, shoulders, torso, arms and legs.

Putting it into practice — apply the techniques through guided drawing exercises.
