With the price of fuel rising and energy on the way up amidst growing costs of maintenance for traditional petrol and diesel vehicles, more people are looking into EVs as a possible way to cut costs. Charging EV’s using cheaper overnight energy tariffs could reduce your costs considerably.

For some people, access to charging is via their own driveway, but what if this is not available? Then this is where you can find out more about how the council can support your journey to EV.

Bradford Council, in conjunction with Let's Experience Electric, is pleased to invite you to come along to the first Plug In Bradford Distirct Event.

Come along, explore the latest electric vehicles (EVs), chat with experts, and find out what going electric could mean for you.

For many people, a new EV could be expensive, so why not find out more about used EVs at the event, as all the exhibitors at the event will supply these as well.

Join us for Plug In Electric Bradford District, a free, drop-in event for residents and businesses who want to find out more about electric vehicles (EVs), charging and the practical realities of making the switch.

Whether you’re simply curious, comparing options, or already thinking about your next vehicle, this is a friendly and informal chance to explore what electric transport could mean for you.

The event brings together EV providers, renewables, charging specialists and local partners to answer questions, share advice, and showcase a range of electric cars and mobility options.

The event takes place at the Centenary Square, right outside Bradford City Hall, so pop in and see us all on the day.

• A range of EVs on display including The Electric Van Co, MG, Chery and more.

• LNER Bradford Beryl e-bikes

• Joseph Parr with their full electric HGV

• Kerbo Charge cross pavement EV charging channel

• Local experts available to answer questions on charging, costs, and ownership

• Practical advice and information (no pressure to buy)

• A relaxed, welcoming community event you can explore at your own pace

In addition to the outside display area Bradford district businesses are invited to attend Business support sessions with key speakers in City Hall featuring fleet modernisation opportunities from not-for-profit independent advisors CENEX, Northern PowerGrid and the Energy Saving Trust will detail their success in managing the electricity distribution network, find out about the work that Charge Point Operators are doing across the Bradford District to improve the EV infrastructure and what central government support is available for business depots.

The Business Support Sessions will hear from Bradford's Joseph Parr who are running the first zero emissios heavy‑duty truck in a builders’ merchant operation in the UK. As well as a chance to network with Invest in Bradford, WYCA transport team and Junction Mills Future Tech Centre.
