It gives you the chance to slow down, really observe what’s in front of you, and learn how to translate what you see into paint.</p> <p>In this 2.5 hour, hands-on workshop, you will work from a carefully arranged still life. You will explore the fundamentals of painting in oils, including composition, and colour mixing.</p> <p>Oil Painter Mireille Botros will guide you through the process step by step, from getting your initial drawing onto the canvas to building up layers of colour and bringing your painting to life.</p> <p>This workshop is suitable whether you’re completely new to oils or you’ve painted before. You’ll leave with your own finished still life and a better understanding of how to approach oil painting with confidence.</p> <p>No previous experience is necessary. Chairs will also be provided for anyone that would prefer to be seated during the session.</p> <p>The centre can be accessed easily via public transport.
