Thursday's Art Workshop

Join Kayle and the United Art Project for Storehouse Summer Club, four mornings of fun, hands-on art for children aged 5–11 years.

Each day will feature a different creative activity, with workshops including:

Paint a Masterpiece – explore colour, paint and different materials to create a bold piece of artwork.

Make Paper Puppets – design imaginative puppets using paper, collage, drawing and mixed materials.

The Art of Paper Flowers – create colourful handmade flowers using paper, texture and simple craft techniques.

Wings and Wands – make decorative wings and handmade wands using paper, ribbon and other creative materials.

Summer Club runs Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 August 2026, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Storehouse.

Each morning will offer a different workshop, so children can come to one session or book several and enjoy a new activity each day.

The sessions are relaxed, creative and welcoming, giving children space to explore ideas, try new techniques and make new friends.

Spaces are limited to 8 children per session, and each day requires its own booking.

Children must attend with a responsible adult aged 18 or over, who must remain with them throughout the session.

Before You Join Us: Important Information for Families

We want Storehouse Summer Club to be a welcoming, creative and safe space for everyone. Please read the following information before attending.

Each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

The responsible adult must remain with the child for the full duration of the session and is responsible for their direct supervision, behaviour and day-to-day safety.

Adults may supervise more than one child where appropriate, but children must not be left unattended at any time.

United Art Project (UAP) is responsible for the safeguarding arrangements for the event. All UAP workers delivering the sessions have appropriate DBS checks and work in accordance with UAP safeguarding procedures.

Any safeguarding concern should be raised immediately with a member of the UAP team, who will follow the appropriate safeguarding procedures.

Places must be booked in advance. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking so that the place can be offered to another family.

Please arrive promptly so children can take part in the full activity.

Sessions are practical and may involve paint, glue, ink and other art materials. Please wear suitable clothing. Storehouse and UAP cannot accept responsibility for staining or damage to clothing or personal belongings arising through normal participation in the activities.

Please tell the UAP team before the session begins about any allergies, additional needs, accessibility requirements or relevant medical information that may affect a child’s participation.

Parents and carers remain responsible for administering any medication their child may require unless another arrangement has been expressly agreed in advance.

Children and accompanying adults are expected to follow reasonable instructions from workshop leaders and to treat other children, families, staff, volunteers and the venue with respect.

Storehouse and UAP reserve the right to ask a participant or accompanying adult to leave where behaviour presents a risk to themselves or others or significantly disrupts the session.

Photography or filming may take place during some sessions for Storehouse or UAP communications and promotional purposes. Photographs of children will only be used where the appropriate consent has been obtained. Please speak to the team on arrival if you have any questions or do not wish your family to be photographed.

Storehouse or UAP may occasionally need to change, postpone or cancel a session because of circumstances beyond their reasonable control. Where possible, booked attendees will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable.

By booking and attending a session, parents and carers confirm that they have read and agree to these arrangements.
