A focused, confidential space to work on your business
Leading a business is hugely rewarding and exciting but it can also be lonely. When you're responsible for the decisions, the people and the direction there’s rarely much space to step back and think things through with people who get it.
It's a 1 hour 45 minute peer support session, designed specifically for founders, managing directors and senior leaders with 5+ employees. It offers a structured, confidential space to step back from the day-to-day and work on the business, not just in it.
It’s not a talk or a networking event. It’s a focused working session to take your business forward with your peers.
You’re probably managing a team while still being closely involved in the day-to-day running of the business, making decisions quickly, balancing strategic thinking with operational demands, and carrying the responsibility for the success of the organisation. All the while, not quite yet having a leadership team to share the load or a natural peer group to sense-check ideas with.
In this session, you’ll join a small group of peers facing similar leadership challenges, creating a supportive environment to share perspectives and test ideas. We’re bringing you together for a facilitated discussion with other senior leaders, giving you a space to explore real challenges.
This is a small group session, with up to 20 people. We’ll be breaking into smaller groups throughout the session.
Facilitated by Head of Member Engagement and Deputy CEO at Brighton Chamber, Amy Lishman. Alongside Sarah at Brighton Chamber, Amy leads the Chamber, a small business like yours, and she has worked with businesses in Brighton for the best part of a decade. She is a trained Action Learning Facilitator, loves all things learning and development and runs the Chamber Business Book Club. She spends her working days asking questions, listening and connecting.
Rich Ford, Managing Director at Sherlock, recently attended a similar session:
"Peer-to-peer support is something that’s undervalued and underestimated in how powerful it can be. This new event was just what I was looking for as I couldn’t find a confidential peer support group in Brighton that also featured some degree of structure. Offering great value for money, I came away with some valuable new perspectives on an ongoing challenge."
