The restaurant business is in turmoil right now with 33% of restaurants trading at a loss, 2/3 of businesses cutting hours and jobs together with 76% increasing prices.
This workshop will help you ride the storm by assisting in the creation of strategies to attract and retain customers, profitably.

The content focuses attention on the five Ps of hospitality marketing and operations;
> People:Who are your customers? What do they want? How do you attract new customers and how do you bring them back for more? Does your staff understand the importance of service excellence? Techniques to enhance it.
> Product: a systematic approach to innovation, profitable product development.
> Price: menu mistakes, how to avoid them and how to increase your menu appeal and perceived value for money.
> Promotion: what a successful website looks like, Loyalty promotions, optimising reviews and using social media effectively.
> Positioning: about creating strong brand values to excite customers and promise them a great experience

30 min networking session
This event will take place in Conference Room 3, next to the BIPC, 1st floor of Jubilee Library, Brighton.
About the Speaker
Stephen Logue is a business economist and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing .
He started his career in marketing with brands like Ski and McVities, running well known household brands and taking responsibility for new product development where he launched 15 new products, some of which won awards.
He was appointed marketing director of Grand Met’s 600 restaurants where he was fortunate enough to win the first Caterer & Hotelkeeper award for the top group marketing campaign.
His market research-led consultancy, Business Blueprints, based in Brighton from 1989 to 2022, advised major organisations in the hospitality industry like JD Wetherspoons, Greene King and Allied Bakeries among others.
In his own right, he owned and operated 15 catering concepts ranging from Sandwich/coffee bars to Greek themed restaurants.
He latterly owned the Old Bank in Kemptown from 2010, rated No. 1 for steaks & ribs, until he sold it last year to concentrate on his new coaching enterprise, Hospitality Blueprints.
He says; “ I am passionate about inspiring and empowering others to create memorable dining experiences for their customers so that they can make more money, save time and have less stress"
