Neal’s Yard Remedies Healing Herbs: Treat Yourself Naturally with Homemade Herbal Remedies
Really excited to be published and contributing author to “Neal’s Yard Remedies Healing Herbs “. We offers expert advice you can trust; this detailed guide, features great charts, recipes with an illustrated directory of 100 key herbs.
I am a qualified Medical Herbalist, graduating with honours from the College of Phytotherapy in 2000. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to working with plants, people, and place, offering holistic, sustainable care rooted in tradition and science.
Since 2013, I’ve worked closely with NHS GPs at the Integrative Herstmonceux Health Centre in Hailsham. My role includes supporting patients with Lyme disease and women’s health issues. I also helped design and establish an on-site herb garden, encouraging patients to connect with healing plants. I continue to receive NHS referrals and feel privileged to work in a centre committed to the future of integrative health.
I am a Member of the College of Practising Phytotherapists (MCPP) and also hold diplomas in Nutrition and Therapeutic Massage. Alongside clinical practice, I have taught at the School of Herbal Medicine, East London University, and Westminster University, and consulted for organisations such as WWF and Neal’s Yard Remedies. I run regular courses, walks, and workshops exploring the everyday uses of plants as food and medicine.
My practice is rooted in holistic and sustainable principles. I offer an inclusive, welcoming space for people to explore their health needs, tailoring treatments to the individual. Where possible, I make my own herbal preparations using organic, sustainably sourced herbs, committed to keeping plant medicine ethical, accessible, and empowering.
I integrate herbal knowledge with nutritional, environmental, and emotional approaches to help individuals navigate complex recovery journeys.
I also love working with communities and schools to establish herb gardens and run plant-based education projects. I co-facilitate women’s retreats with the Green Cuisine Trust, exploring seasonal healing through food and plants, and supporting those living with Lyme.
My work has been featured on Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped and BBC’s Legends of Gardener’s Question Time and Cookery Legend Cruises.
I am the author of Neal’s Yard Remedies Healing Herbs (Dorling Kindersley, 2020) and Lost in Lyme (Aeon Books, 2023), and my research has been published in the European Journal of Herbal Medicine, by WWF, and Plantlife.
Above all, I am passionate about reconnecting people to the healing power of plants and supporting a deeper awareness of the vital links between health, community, and the natural world.
