📋WHAT IS THIS CLUB ABOUT?

The Secret Explorers' Adventure Club was set up for anyone who wants to inject a bit of awe,curiosity and novelty into their lives, by spending a day out somewhere wonderful in the UK and enjoy a day of adventure, discovery and connection. This club will run "Treat Trips" that are themed days out. This is just to get a conversation going and to bring people together with the same interest(s) for that specific day out. But this is about uniting people with similar interests that want to reconnect to adventure and exploration in their lives, and meet new people while doing so.

So to recap:

⭐️Scheduled days out means we get away from London or Greater London and spend a day out at one of the many gemstones the UK has to offer. So we get to explore and visit the many places this wonderful country we live in, has to offer. This trip we are spending a day out in Brighton and Hove. Brighton/Hove is a vibrant, creative, and inclusive coastal city renowned for its unique blend of seaside charm and bohemian culture.

⭐"Treat Days" out will usually be scheduled on Bank Holidays, Saturdays or Sundays. This day out is on a Saturday.

⭐️ Each "Treat Day Out" will revolve around a specific theme. This is just to introduce an ice breaker so that people who attend are guaranteed to share a similar interest. This month the theme is "Monty Python's Life of Brian-In celebration of satire and parody in film". So this is absolutely brilliant for movie buffs, or just people who love Monty Python films and/or "Life of Brian". If none of these apply to you, it would be helpful if you have seen "The Life of Brian" (see short clip below for a taster) or if you are somewhat a fan, or you know something about it. However if this is not the case but you are curious about the subject matter: you are still very welcome to attend.

THIS TRIP'S THEME :

Monty Python's Life of Brian is a 1979 British surreal satirical biblical black comedy, film starring and written by the comedy group Monty Python(Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin). It was directed by Terry Jones. The film tells the story of Brian Cohen (played by Chapman), a young Judaean man who is born on the same day as—and next door to—Jesus, and is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah.

The film's themes of religious satire were controversial at the time of its release, drawing accusations of blasphemy and protests from some religious groups. It was banned in many countries. But the film became iconic for so any reasons and that is what we will be discussing. Or in the very least to break the ice and get the conversation going, with other subjects that will also be discussed as well.

🎯HOW ARE THESE CLUB DAYS OUT BEING RUN?

👍Price to RSVP per person is to attend the event only. Attendees will need to arrange and pay for their own travel to and from Brighton /Hove. Food, drinks and any extras on the day will need to be paid for by each individual attendee to the venues etc...

👍The day out will involve alot of walking in Brighton and Hove. Please ensure you are able to walk comfortably (we will be stopping regularly for breaks) and please bring clothes and footwear to be able to walk about, in the current weather. Bring a brollie...just in case!(always a good idea when going anywhere in the UK)

👍Now for the adventure bit...we will not be doing the usual touristy things...instead we will be heading off the beaten track. So if you live or have lived in Brighton and Hove or you have visited before and you have a few out of the ordinary things you would like to suggest for you and the group to do, please do share on the day. As the host, I will have a schedule for what to do for the day, however I am completely open to have as much input from attendees as possible, so this day out can be uber-special for everyone attending!

🔍WHO IS THIS EVENT SUITABLE FOR?
