“Sparkles with refreshing summer energy” \- Clash Magazine

Manchester multi-instrumentalist Werkha (Tom Leah) brings his kinetic, highly texture-driven brand of music, effortlessly bridging analogue jazz-funk with UK broken beat. Layering live horns, dense synths, and intricate string arrangements over tightly packed samples, Leah’s performances are pure energy and joy.

Werkha delivers a vibrant celebration of resilience and movement, centred around his deeply personal latest LP, Unsung Irregular - out now on First Word Records.

“Certain musicians have so much finesse - people like Werkha. Quality.” \- Gilles Peterson
