Winter Solstice | A Wild Woman Mini Retreat
Rest · Reflect · Reconnect
A nourishing morning to pause, exhale and reconnect with yourself and the rhythms of nature.
As we approach the Winter Solstice, the natural world draws inward. Trees stand bare, seeds rest beneath the earth, and life continues its quieter work beneath the surface.
In a world that so often asks us to keep going, producing and pushing forwards, the Winter Solstice offers a different invitation.
To pause. To soften. To listen.
To recognise that we, too, are part of these natural cycles of activity and rest, expansion and retreat, letting go and beginning again.
I'd love to invite you to join me for a nourishing midwinter gathering at the beautiful Sanctuary Yurt, just outside Lewes.
A chance to step away from the demands of everyday life, settle beside the cosy log burner and spend a few hours in the company of other women.
What we'll share
We'll begin with velvety ceremonial cacao, gently arriving into the space and the energy of the season.
Through guided meditation, gentle grounding movement, journaling, heartfelt sharing and song, we'll explore the Winter Solstice and what this time of year might be inviting us to notice in our own lives.
Drawing inspiration from the Wheel of the Year and the natural cycles of life, we'll make space to reflect on what we're ready to let go of, what needs rest, and what might be quietly beginning to stir beneath the surface.
There'll be space to listen, share, reflect or simply be, alongside time to enjoy herbal tea, homemade cake and those lovely, unhurried conversations that happen when women gather together.
As we're spending the morning together and finishing in the early afternoon, you're also very welcome to bring a little something to eat or a packed lunch if you'd like..
A space to come as you are
At the heart of Wild Woman Circles is the opportunity to share from the heart, to be listened to without judgement or unsolicited advice, and to offer that same presence to other women.
There's something powerful about being able to speak honestly, hear our own thoughts out loud and discover that we're not alone in what we're experiencing.
You don't need to arrive with a clear intention, have the answers or know what you want to say. You can bring the uncertainty, the questions, the things you're working through and the parts of yourself you're still getting to know.
Sharing is always an invitation, never an obligation. We treat what is shared with care and respect, honouring one another's privacy.
You don't need any previous experience of women's circles, meditation or the Wheel of the Year, or any particular spiritual beliefs.
This is an intentionally small, intimate gathering, with just 9 places available, allowing space for everyone to be heard and for genuine connections to unfold.
My hope is that you leave feeling a little lighter, more connected to yourself and others, and perhaps with a little more trust in the quieter wisdom within you.
