About This Event

The Worthing Five Peaks Challenge 2026, a 17-mile hike and peak 'conquering' event, will be held on 5 September 2026 starting at Hill Barn Recreation Ground car park, Brighton. The challenge supports World Suicide Prevention Week, with an entry fee of £27.80.

Can you hike 17 miles and 'conquer five peaks' in the South Downs, near Worthing, West Sussex, for World Suicide Prevention Week?

Worthing Five Peaks Challenge (17 miles). The Big One!

Come join us for an epic adventure on Saturday, 5th September 2026 at 9.00am, enjoying the splendour of the South Downs National Park while raising vital funds during World Suicide Prevention Week for www.ollysfuture.org.uk. You'll be helping an amazing cause. For anyone who has lost someone to suicide, this is a chance to honour them.

This year’s Five ‘Peaks’ Challenge celebrates six years of Olly’s Future, a national suicide prevention charity founded in memory of a remarkable young man from Worthing – Oliver (Olly) Hare. Every single penny raised will support our suicide prevention work. This includes delivering training to equip people with the skills to spot the signs in someone who may be thinking of suicide and have a conversation that could help save their life. To date more than 10,000 people worldwide have had this training. It was co-developed by Ann Feloy, founder of Olly's Future, in memory of her beloved son. With your support, we can deliver this to even more people.

Help a very worthwhile cause and do something great for your own wellbeing too!

At the start of the walk, there will be a moment of reflection. If you would like, you are warmly invited to bring a small memento or written message to hang on a tree, in memory and honour of a loved one.
