Explore Bristol Cathedral's rich 900-year history with an expert guide, finishing with a delicious Pinkman's afternoon tea. Join one of Bristol Cathedral’s expert guides for a fascinating tour of our 900-year history. You’ll journey through medieval life at the Cathedral, hear tales of Bristol’s very own saint, St. Jordan, and discover the part we played in the ordination of women in 1994. Once you have worked up an appetite learning all about our story, it’s time for your afternoon tea experience. Our onsite cafe is run by Pinkmans – an icon in Bristol’s food scene. There you'll enjoy a selection of their focaccia sandwiches, freshly baked cakes and, of course, scones, jam and clotted cream. All washed down with a pot of tea. The tour takes around 60-minutes, and afternoon tea will be served straight after. Our staff and guides will greet you at the welcome desk five minutes before the tour is due to start. Accessibility The entrance to Bristol Cathedral is level access. However, some areas of the Cathedral included in the tours involve uneven floors and steps, particularly when accessing the Norman Chapter House. Sensible footwear is advised. If you have any accessibility requests or concerns and you would like to go on a tour, please contact Bristol Cathedral at visitorexperience@bristol-cathedral.co.uk before booking your tickets. Terms and conditions Afternoon teas must be redeemed on the same day as tour. Tickets are not valid for any other day than stated. Cannot be exchanged for other products. If you have any special dietary requirements (including pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free) or any allergies, please let our team know at least 48 hours before your booking by emailing cathedral@pinkmans.co.uk. This allows us to plan ahead and ensure your afternoon tea is prepared for your visit.
