Behind the city’s famous landmarks lies a darker history of public executions, brutal murders, deadly accidents, duels and strange events that have become part of Bristol’s folklore. On this 1.5 hour walking tour, your guide will uncover the places and stories that reveal a very different side of the city.

From the blood-soaked history of Corn Street and the executions once carried out on College Green to the haunted Rummer Tavern and the mysterious depths of Redcliffe Caves, this Halloween tour takes you through centuries of Bristol’s darker past. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of rebels, murderers, victims and unlikely survivors, including the brutal Ruscombe double murder, the grisly fate of the Knutsford Highwayman and the tragic story of Catherine Morris.
