We would love to welcome you to the launch of our new sculpture, THE CONSUMER by Alaric Hobbs, at our sculpture garden in Bristol.

We are excited to announce Alaric Hobbs as our latest commissioned artist at Old Market Lawn's Sculpture Plinth. Through ‘The Consumer’, Hobbs presents a stark reflection on modern consumption, scarcity and the climate crisis; exploring a society caught in a cycle of consuming its own future.

Old Market Lawn is part of BUILDHOLLYWOOD’s ongoing Your Space Or Mine initiative, which gives artists and creatives a unique platform on the street. Nestled in the corner of a community garden, grown in collaboration with Rockaway Park, the plinth is framed by billboards which feature rotating campaigns from local culture, music and brand clients, and community art initiatives – the lawn is a shared space that intersects the world of art and advertising and reimagines public spaces through community-led creativity in a unique cycle of reinvestment.
