The Connecting in Neighbourhoods Workshop will be held at Bristol City Council on Thursday 15 October 2026, with a start time of 9.30am. This free, one-day interactive session delves into the core principles and practical application of asset-based community development. Participants will discover how to recognise and nurture the inherent strengths within local communities, shifting the focus away from deficits. Facilitated by a team of experienced practitioners, the workshop is tailored for residents, community workers, and anyone with an interest in fostering meaningful neighbourhood engagement. Through hands-on activities and group discussion, attendees will gain tangible skills for identifying local assets, such as skills, networks, and physical spaces, and learn how to mobilise these resources to drive positive change from within. The event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and explore new approaches to building stronger, more resilient communities. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended to secure a place at this insightful and practical gathering.
