Hedgelaying helps to rejuvenate old, etablished hedgerows stimulating strong new growth and improving the condition of the hedge. A well-managed hedge can continue to provide benefits for people and wildlife for tens - or even hundreds - of years.
In this introductory* session participants will be guided by local professional hedgelayer, Mike Reed, to lay a hedge in the North Somerset style.
*If you have laid a hedge before, please book onto one of our Improver sessions.
All tools and equipment will be provided but attendees should have their own footwear and clothing suitable for working outdoors in inclement weather.
About the day

Please note that there is no shelter or toilet facilities at this site and that those arriving by car will need to find on-street parking in the local area.
