​Imagine you could meet new friends who understood your squiggly background? Well, now you can!

​Join Arna in Bristol for International Generalist Day — a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 16th, 2026.

​Arna is hosting a co-working morning, followed by lunch at Elementa Workspace at Temple Meads to connect Bristol-area generalists— we'll swap stories and make new connections with a cuppa or two along the way.

​What is a generalist?

​Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

​What to expect:

​Connect with fellow generalists in your city

​Celebrate the power of diverse skillsets and squiggly careers

​Be part of a global movement happening the same day worldwide

​Bring your work laptop (or don't). While there will be a couple of short activities, you can tap in to any you fancy.

​There will be a coffee/tea station available.

​Nearby parking includes Temple Meads station or Gardiner Haskins Car Park.

​Location is right by Temple Meads, so public transport options include bus, train, and even a water taxi!

​About your host

​Arna works in a fintech start-up-turned-scale-up, and began embracing her generalist capabilities a couple of years ago. Understanding how the intricate web of organisations are weaved together is invaluable, especially in times of great transformation. They say that a "Jack (or Jill) of all trades is a master of none", but remember the end of that phrase— "oftentimes better than a master of one".
