At this workshop series, participants will learn how to craft rustic stools or coffee tables from split ash logs. Using tools such as a draw knife, shave horse, and pole lathe, attendees will learn to shape billets into cylinders before fashioning them into legs. The process involves splitting ash logs into useable pieces, chopping the sharp edges, and then shaping the billets into cylinders using a draw knife and shave horse.

The finished product will be a stool or coffee table with a rustic top, legs fashioned on a pole lathe, and all the pieces fitted together. The event includes admission to Tyntesfield, all materials, use of tools, and hot drinks.
