Outdoor sensory play for babies aged 0-3

Wild Hearts Nature Babies

Nurture your child’s connection to nature with an outdoor stay and play rooted in sensory exploration, seasonal stories and community connection.

If you’re looking for a baby or toddler group with a slower pace, that gets you and your little ones outdoors, then come join us in the Garden at The Old Library.

Wild Hearts Nature Babies is like a baby sensory class - but with a focus on the rich sensory environment the natural world provides for us, if we just slow down long enough to see it.

Nature Babies is welcome to all - parents, carers, grandparents, childminders and nannies.

Best suited to under 2s but open to all babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children.

What to Expect at Nature Babies

Each session will begin with a Welcome Circle, a chance to ground ourselves with movement and sound.

Join a gently guided Exploration of our shared space, drawing upon mindfulness and forest bathing techniques to open our senses to the world around us.

Then an Invitation to Play with sensory objects from the natural world, changing with the seasons.

Finally, a seasonal Story and Songs to close.

Expect muddy knees, curious hands and happy smiles as you connect with your baby in nature.
