Have you ever walked into a room and wondered why it feels comfortable, stylish and well put together? This practical and inspiring course introduces the key principles of interior design and shows you how to transform spaces with confidence.

Whether you're looking to refresh your own home, develop a new creative hobby, or explore a possible pathway into further study, you'll discover how professional designers use colour, layout, lighting, texture and furnishings to create beautiful and functional interiors.

Through a mix of guided activities, discussion and creative projects, you'll learn how to evaluate spaces, develop design ideas and create rooms that reflect your personal style while meeting practical needs. No previous experience is required, just an interest in design and a willingness to explore new ideas.

Session 1 - What is Interior Design?

Session 2 - Finding your Style

Session 3 - Colour and Mood

Session 4 - Furniture Layout and Space Planning

Session 5 - Fabric, Materials and Finishes

Session 6 - Lighting and Atmosphere

Session 7 - Creating a Design Scheme

Session 8 - Final Project and Presentation

Materials will be discussed at the first session.
