Three Shires Head Community Walk 🥾🌿

Officially hosting my first community hike - so if you fancy getting outside & meeting some new people , would love to have you!

The walk will be 2-3 hours and 4.5 miles — a relaxed, beginner-friendly morning with plenty of time for chatting, taking photos and enjoying the scenery. A WhatsApp Group will be made to confirm timings & specific locations (as well as arranging transport and lifts for those who need).

You don’t need to be an experienced hiker to come along! The aim is to create a friendly group where you can turn up on your own, meet people and enjoy a walk without feeling like you need to be super fit or experienced!!

The plan

📍 Meet: Three Shires Head car park⏰ Meet at 9:45am — set off at 10am🥾 Walking time: approximately 2–3 hours

📸 Expect LOTS of photos!

Hopefully the sun will still be shining - and if so there is a swim spot under one of the waterfalls, so please bring swimming gear if you feel comfortable to do so! We'll stop here for lunch, so it's entirely optional and everyone is responsible for staying safe.

Food & drinks

Please bring your own food, snacks and drinks for the walk. There will be time to stop and eat, so pack whatever you fancy for a morning outside!

I’d recommend bringing:

🧥 Weather-appropriate layers

💧 Plenty of water

🍎 Your own food/snacks

🩱 Swimwear + towel if you fancy a swim

📱 A fully charged phone

IMPORTANT

This is a community/social walk organised by me as an individual, rather than a professionally guided hiking experience.

I am not a qualified mountain leader or professional hiking guide, and I do not hold specific outdoor leadership or specialist first-aid qualifications for this event.

The route is being shared as a community activity rather than professional navigation, safety or outdoor instruction. Everyone attending is responsible for deciding whether the walk is suitable for their own ability, fitness and experience, and for coming appropriately prepared.

The Peak District is an unpredictable outdoor environment, and conditions can change quickly. The route may include uneven, muddy, steep or slippery ground and sections close to water. Please only attend if you are comfortable with this type of terrain.
