Newcomers and solo walkers are always welcome. If you are bringing your dog, they are most welcome but please have them on a lead at all times.

This is a moderate hike - 9km and mostly flat.
This hike will begin at New Mills Central Station, then we will follow the Torrs Millennium Walkway along the meandering River Goyt, where we will enjoy the stunning views from the walkway. We will proceed along the fields on the banks of the river, heading all the way to Furness Vale.
Then, we'll join the Peak Forest Canal towpath, which leads will lead us past the Goytside Meadows Local Nature Reserve, a beautiful wildflower meadows that is often has livestock, so remember to keep dogs on leads.
Please bring the following items with you:
Hiking boots
Weather appropriate clothing
Waterproofs
Water bottle
Snacks / packed lunch
Outline of the day:
If you are getting the train, please get the 10:45am train from Manchester Piccadilly Train Station to New Mills Central Train Station, arriving at 11:14am.
If you are meeting us by car/ different public transport please meet us at 11:14am by the station. Postcode SK22 3JB
Hike starts at 11:30am (please don't be late, we will give a 10 minute grace period max).
We will build in time for breaks and lunch
Hike should finish back in Edale around 3:30/4pm.
We will head to a nearby pub for a pint afterwards. (optional)
We recommend getting an open return ticket if you are travelling via train.
If you can no longer attend please cancel your ticket.
