Step through our Time Portal near the Tea Room and journey back through time at Ilam Park. Follow the trail and discover historical event boards that mark key moments in the past, taking you from 100 years ago, to 2,000 years ago, and eventually all the way back to 360 million years ago when this area lay beneath a tropical sea. Visitors will receive a trail sheet packed with questions and activities along the route. Walk as much or as little of the trail as you like. Adventurous explorers can continue to the ancient reef in the parkland, while shorter walks can retrace the route at any point. Cost: £3 per trail Recommended age: 8+, though younger children are welcome to take part or play the Stranger Folk app alongside this adventure.
