A Message for the Future is a multi-sensory art installation and gig theatre experience designed for early years (ages 0-3) and family audiences. DIY punk poetry gig theatre parents Brigitte Aphrodite and Quiet Boy offer a multi-sensory experience that subverts the early years genre through joyful rock n roll storytelling, celebrating a journey of nature and kindness. This calm pocket of punky joy explores a future full of hope, the wonders of the environment, and its unsung heroes. Created by Crescendorious with original storytelling and live music by acclaimed Margate gig theatre-makers Brigitte Aphrodite and Quiet Boy. Set design and costumes by internationally renowned set designer and concept artist Xander Lo Lo Noble. Suitable for ages 0-3 years and their adults. Older siblings welcome Duration: 60 minutes (no interval) 15 min soft start, approx. 30 minute live performance, followed by 15 minute stay and play This show is a relaxed performance. Key features include: ● Sensory-friendly spaces for neurodivergent and disabled audiences, including sensory props to play with. ● Ear defenders. ● Chilled spaces with a relaxed environment. Each show opens with an access introduction letting audiences know that it’s okay to tic, stim, leave and come back, make noises, laugh or cry. Breastfeeding is welcome in the space. ● Pop-up banners and pre-show access tables with sensory materials and information. ● Interactive elements to engage young children and families.
