About the authors
V. Castro is a two-time Bram Stoker Award–nominated Mexican American writer from San Antonio, Texas, now residing in the UK. As a full-time mother, she dedicates her time to her family and writing Latinx narratives in horror and science fiction. Her most recent story appears in Unearthed: New Horror of Ancient Ruins. Unearthed digs beneath these crumbling structures to reveal their archaic pasts, and their darkest secrets.
Dan Coxon has won a World Fantasy Award (Heartwood: A Mythago Wood Anthology), a Shirley Jackson Award (Unquiet Guests), a Saboteur Award (Being Dad) and two British Fantasy Awards (Writing the Uncanny and Writing the Future, both co-edited with Richard V. Hirst). He has been shortlisted for the British Fantasy Awards a total of nine times. In October 2025 his anthology of haunted house stories, Unquiet Guests, was published by Dead Ink Books. His second short story collection, Come Sing for the Harrowing, was reissued by CLASH Books in April 2026.
Matt Hill is the Philip K. Dick Award-nominated author of Lamb, The Breach, Zero Bomb, Graft and The Folded Man. He lives in Glossop, on the edge of the Peak District. His most recent story appears in Unhallowed Gifts – a collection of twelve terrifying stories that reimagine a tradition that stretches back over a century to W.W. Jacobs’ ‘The Monkey’s Paw’.
Dr Tiffani Angus is the author of historical fantasy novel Threading the Labryinth which was a finalist for both the British Fantasy Society and British Science Fiction Association Best Novel awards. She is also co-author of Spec Fic for Newbies: A Beginner's Guide to Writing Subgenres of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror volumes 1, 2 and 3 and an Arthur C Clarke Award judge.
