About This Event

Children's Sensory Poetry Workshop (5-11 yrs) will run on 10 October 2026 at Cambridge Central Library in Cambridge. The session follows the nose to see where it leads and is a sensory poetry experience for children aged five to eleven years. Local poet An hosts the workshop. Admission is free.

What colour is laughter? What shape is a sneeze? Follow your nose and see where it leads…

A sensory poetry session for 5-11yr olds.

Join local poet Anna Shelton for a playful workshop packed with imagination, observation and sensory discoveries.

Together we’ll explore the world through sight, sound, smell and touch, turning tiny details into wonderful poems. Perfect for curious minds, keen writers and anyone who enjoys getting creative.

We welcome children (accompanied by an adult) to join us, whether you’ve ever written a poem or not.
